The rescheduled trains were 12053 Haridwar-Amritsar Janshatabdi Express (45 minutes), 14650 Amritsar-Jaynagar Saryu-Yamuna Express (20.50 hrs), 14682 Jalandhar-New Delhi Intercity Express (1.20 hrs), 19224 Jammu-Ajmer Express (2.25 hrs) and 22423 Gorakhpur-Amritsar Superfast Express. 1 to 3 hrs: 12716 Amritsar-Nanded Sachkhand Express, 12358 Amritsar-Kolkata Durgiana Express, 12054 Amritsar-Haridwar Janshatabdi Express, 12471 Bandra Terminus (Mumbai)-Shri Mata Vaisno Devi Swaraj Express, 22429 Delhi Jn-Pathankot Express, 12238 Amritsar-Bilaspur Chhattisgarh Express, 15532 Amritsar-Saharsa Jansadharan Express, 12053 Haridwar-Amritsar Janshatabdi Express. Many of the long route trains were running behind schedule with one train delayed by more than 20 hours. According to the railways, in addition to a pair of intercity express trains on Amritsar-New Delhi section, 12587 Gorakhpur-Jammu Amarnath Express, 13005 Howrah-Amritsar Mail, 14673 Jaynagar-Amritsar Shaheed Express, 15209 Saharsa-Amritsar Jansewa Express and 15210 Amritsar-Saharsa Jansewa Express trains were cancelled today. On other routes, five trains were cancelled and a similar number were rescheduled for late departure.
