Congress President Rahul Gandhi will participate in rallies in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on March 21 or 22. Prior to the rally in Mangaluru, Mr. Gandhi will attend one in Mysuru, Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Minister B. Ramanath Rai said. Almost all incumbent legislators, barring a few, will get tickets, he said. He said AICC will take a final decision on the selection of candidates in Dakshina Kannada, which sent seven Congress MLAs out of eight seats in the district. While incumbent legislators are almost assured of tickets in the district, there was some confusion in Moodbidri, following MLA K. Abhayachandra Jain’s initial reluctance to re-contest the polls.
