Mangaluru: Even as the fuel prices climbed to higher levels on Monday, the Congress-called bandh against rise in fuel prices saw stray incidents of violence with several buses, auto rickshaws, a couple of other vehicles and a few establishments getting damaged in stone pelting in Dakshina Kannada district. They pulled their cabs tied to ropes from Rao & Rao Circle to Clock Tower in the city to oppose rise in fuel prices. Protesters in the rally led by MLC Ivan D’Souza shouted slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demanded the government to decrease fuel prices. The front windshields of a few KSRTC and private buses were damaged in the stone pelting.
