Anekal girl found hanging in Moodbidri PU college

On January 8, Tejas, 17, I PU science student and resident of Bengaluru, hanged himself in the hostel room when his roommates had gone for dinner.A few weeks later, on January 25, 18-year-old Rachana, a II PU science student, allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the college building. MANGALURU: A II PU student allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her hostel room in Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri, about 45km from here, on Wednesday.Police said they hadn’t recovered a suicide note from the room where the body was found. When she returned, she found Vinutha hanging in the room and immediately informed the hostel warden. She was pursuing science (PCMB) at Alva’s PU College.

Police said the incident took place around 6.30am, when her roommate had gone out of the room to take a shower. When she returned, she found Vinutha hanging in the room and immediately informed the hostel warden. The victim’s body was later shifted to Alva’s Hospital in Moodbidri, police said.Police are looking through her belongings and notebooks to find clues on why she killed herself. Her parents in Bengaluru have been informed and they are on their way to Moodbidri.Vinutha’s father Ramachandra is a manager at a private firm in Bengaluru. “The likely cause for the girl to end her life will be known only after her parents arrive. Currently, we cannot comment on anything,” a police officer said. A case has been registered at Moodbidri police station.This is the third suicide this year at the institution. On January 8, Tejas, 17, I PU science student and resident of Bengaluru, hanged himself in the hostel room when his roommates had gone for dinner.A few weeks later, on January 25, 18-year-old Rachana, a II PU science student, allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the college building. The incident took place on January 25, 2018.The victim reportedly left behind a suicide note which said she took the extreme step due to niggling health issues and poor academic perfor mance.In July, Kavya, an SSLC student and a promising badminton player from Kateel, was found hanging in her hostel room.
