Mangaluru: Two people were stabbed during a case of road rage near Kinnipadav in Bajpe around 7.15pm on Thursday.Police identified the injured as Sarfraz and Ilyas . The incident took place around 8km from the Mangaluru International Airport.According to a police officer, the attackers Toufeeq and Rasheed were travelling from Kinnipadav to Vamanjoor in a car. As they covered some distance, a bike rider named Javed came in their way. Irked, the duo picked up a fight with Javed.As Javed is a local, people present nearby came to his support. During the altercation, two locals Ilyas and Sarfraz sustained stab injuries. There were rushed to a private hospital. Javed escaped unhurt.Meanwhile, a source stated that Toufeeq is an Ola driver and the injured Sarfraz a taxi driver at the Mangaluru International Airport. The source added that Toufeeq attacked Sarfraz after a tension at the airport on Wednesday.Around 3.30pm on Wednesday, a fight erupted between airport taxi drivers and drivers of Cab aggregator Ola. Four people were injured in the incident. The DCP (crime and traffic) Uma Prashanth, however, ruled out any connection between the two incidents.
