MANGALURU: In order to compete with private bus services, the KSRTC has decided to reduce 10 per cent in the current fares in all buses, including premier buses like Volvos and Rajahamsa buses. The corporation has agreed to the proposal submitted by the Mangaluru divisional office to compete with private bus services in the district.Deepak added that during the peak season, which is from December 21 to January 15, the existing fares will continue.However, after January 16, the fares will be reduced till March 30. The rates have come into effect from Wednesday.Deepak Kumar M, division divisional controller, Mangaluru, said that that rates will be slashed across the state.
