Dharmasthala Mahamastakabhisheka: Panchamrutha kalashas costliest at Rs.1 lakh

The Kalashas shall be sold on first come first served basis. Panchamrutha anointment shall take place on 17th and 18th, consisting milk, turmeric, sandalwood, red sandalwood, saffron and Shantidhaara, which can be bought at a sum of Rs.1 lakh each. There shall be 1008 Kalashas that can be bought by devotees for each day.Also, there are Shraddha Kalasha, Divya Kalasha and Janamangala Kalasha costing Rs. The first anointment shall take place on February 16, 2019. These kalashas are available for purchase only on the last two days, as the first day anointment proceedings shall be conducted by the Heggade family.Kalasha buyers will be provided accommodation and viewing gallery facilities during the ceremony.

MANGALURU: The brochure consisting Kalasha details for the Bahubali Maha Mastakabhisheka ceremony 2019 was released by Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade on Tuesday at Dharmasthala.The brochure consists of information regarding the different kinds of Kalashas available and their prices. The first anointment shall take place on February 16, 2019. There shall be 1008 Kalashas that can be bought by devotees for each day.Also, there are Shraddha Kalasha, Divya Kalasha and Janamangala Kalasha costing Rs. 25,000, 5,555, and 1,001 respectively; which can be brought on all three days from February 16-18. Panchamrutha anointment shall take place on 17th and 18th, consisting milk, turmeric, sandalwood, red sandalwood, saffron and Shantidhaara, which can be bought at a sum of Rs.1 lakh each. 15 people shall be allowed for each kind of anointment.The last two days also consist the fluids of tender coconut, sugarcane extract, flour, flowers and chatush-kona kalasha; which can be bought at a price of Rs. 50,000. These kalashas are available for purchase only on the last two days, as the first day anointment proceedings shall be conducted by the Heggade family.Kalasha buyers will be provided accommodation and viewing gallery facilities during the ceremony. The Kalashas shall be sold on first come first served basis. Those interested in buying them must apply for the same to the concerned committees through an application form. They can also be brought from regional offices at Bangalore and Dharwad. The last date to avail Kalashas is January 31, 2018.The Convener of Maha Mastakabhisheka Committee D Surendra Kumar, heads of Kalasha Committee Pushparaj Jain and Prasanna Kumar were present amongst others at the occasion.Customized periodical :With a number of curtain raising events for the Maha Mastakabhisheka taking place in full swing, the Shreemukha Patrike, or a customized periodical relevant to the Maha Mastakabhisheka was released by Heggade.The Shreemukha Patrike is a guideline document that consists of all information related to Maha Mastakabhisheka proceedings that shall take place from February 9 to 12. The proceedings begin with a ritualistic event at the Chandranatha Swamy Basadi at 6 am on February 9 and a procession that shall begin from the same place.
