Couple Ends Life In Fear Of Covid Tests Negative: Karnataka

The couple hanged themselves to death in fear of getting infected of Covid19. 

 In Karnataka`s Mangalore, a couple ended life out of fear of getting infected with Covid19 has later tested negative. 

The deceased, 40-year-old Ramesh and 35-year-old Guna R Suvarna, had left behind a death note citing coronavirus and a few other issues as the reason for the extreme step.  The incident happened at Baikampady in the city in the wee hours of Tuesday, August 17, a couple embracing death by hanging themselves, out of the apprehension of having been infected with the coronavirus.

 The couple had sent a voice message to police commissioner N Shashi Kumar about anxiety over the news items regarding Covid transmitted by the media and hence ending their lives. The police commissioner immediately had requested them not to take any hasty steps and also tried to find the couple. Meanwhile, police who located the place, found that the couple had already ended their lives.
