Team from Punjab wins ‘Smart India Hackathon’ in Manipal University

MANIPAL: Beant College of Engineering and Technology Gurdaspur emerged winners of the Manipal centre in the 'Smart India Hackathon-2017' which concluded at Manipal Institute of technology, Manipal University on Sunday night.The team also won a cash prize of Rs one lakh. G K Prabhu, Pro Vice Chancellor Manipal University and Director, MIT presided over the function. Another team from Punjab, Lovely Professional University, was second and Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumakuru, Karnataka was third. Zenith from Kasegaon Education Society Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Sangli, Maharashtra SMSVNS Titans from School of Management Sciences, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh were fourth and fifth respectively. They bagged Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively.Twenty six teams had worked on problem statements from UGC to find solutions, and the teams named Stealth Strikers_BCET_GSP, Baby and Deep Minds finished first second and third.
