Two of three bodies recovered

The bodies of two of the three fishermen who drowned in the Arabian Sea off Sasihithlu Beach on Sunday were recovered on Monday. Mohiuddin Bava, MLA, visited the beach and the hospital where the bodies were kept. The victims reportedly began their voyage from Chitrapu near Mulki on the other side of the river mouth, while the incident happened near the surfing point, near Sasihithlu. However, only one body was identified as that of Yashwanth, who worked as a physical education teacher in a private school at Mulki. The incident occurred when their country boat capsized near the mouth of the Shambhavi-Nandini at Sasihithlu.

He said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has ordered release of ?4 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased. The district administration will disburse the amount soon.
