- | Thursday | 20th July, 2017
Incessant rain in the Western Ghats and the Kukke Subrahmanya area since two days has resulted in the Puttur-Kaniyoor-Panja- Kukke Subrahmanya Road submerging under the Kumaradhara water near the temple town on Wednesday. The Snana Ghatta (bathing place) on the Kumaradhara has submerged following heavy rain in the temple town of Kukke Subrahmanya in Dakshina Kannada. The Snana Ghatta (bathing place) on the river side in the temple town was also submerged under water. As a result, traffic on the road between the temple town and Balpa has come to a halt. Hence, pilgrims travelling between Dharmasthala and Kukke Subrahmanya did not face any problem.
