The Karnataka Christian Development Parishat has decided to recommend to the Chief Minister to constitute a Karnataka State Christian Development Board, according to J.R. Lobo, MLA, Mangaluru City South and vice-president of the parishat. When Mr. Siddaramaiah met the Archbishop of Bengaluru Bernard Moras the latter had urged the Chief Minister to constitute the board and submitted him a memorandum, Mr. Lobo added. The parishat, which met in Bengaluru on November 10, took this decision, Mr. Lobo said in a release on Thursday. It was allocated ?75 crore in 2013-14, ?100 crore in 2014-15, ?125 crore in 2015-16 and ?175 crore in 2016-17. The government constituted the parishat in 2011 for the overall development of Christian community.
