Mangaluru Sangeethotsava from Thursday

A four-day Mangaluru Sangeethotsava will begin here on November 23 featuring Carnatic classical concerts by artistes from South India. It would be followed by a vocal concert by Vinaya Sharva at 5 p.m. The inaugural concert would be a vocal recital by N.J. Nandini at 5.15 p.m. Organised by Sangeetha Parishat, in association with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Ramakrishna Mutt, it would be a feast for music lovers in the city. Later, Aishwarya Vidya Raghunath would present a vocal concert at 5 p.m.

Nandini at 5.15 p.m. Prior to this concert, there would be a vocal concert by Shrisha R., winner of the Sangeetha Parishat junior level music competition, at 4 p.m. Dhanashri Shabaraya would present a violin recital at 4 p.m. on November 24. It would be followed by a vocal concert by Vinaya Sharva at 5 p.m. There would be a Veena concert by Rakshitah Ramesh at 3.30 p.m. on November 25. Later, Aishwarya Vidya Raghunath would present a vocal concert at 5 p.m. It would be a musical marathon for Carantic lovers on November 26. The concerts would begin at 10 a.m. with a flute recital by Chandan Kumar. It would be followed by a vocal recital by the winner of Sangeetha Parishat senior level music competition Divyashri at 2 p.m. Vocalist Abhishek Raghuram would perform at 5.30 p.m. Sangeeta vidwan Kalmady Sadashiva Acharya from Kasaragod would be felicitated at the valedictory. Young talent awards would be given away to Divyashree, Siddarth Prakash, Abhishek and Shrisha R.P. The prize winners of the music competitions held in connection with the music festival would also be honoured, a release said.
