2 upper primary schools in each block to have ‘Meena Manch’

“Photography and videography of all activities under Meena Manch should be conducted and it should be submitted to the state project director. “Establishment of Meena Manch in schools have helped in improving student enrolment, attendance and leadership qualities among girl students,” stated the order.The director also said that the parameters for selection of schools would include a student strength of at least 60. MEERUT: In the wake of a good response to ‘Meena Manch’ – girls’ activity groups aimed at improving school enrolment and spreading awareness on various issues – in government schools, the authorities of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan have decided to set up such groups at two upper primary schools in every block of the state.Sources said the government would also identify 20 model schools and review their performance by the end of the 2018-19 financial year.According to an order issued by Rajkumari Verma, additional project director of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, to all basic shiksha adhikaris in the state, officials would set up such groups in two upper primary schools in every block.
