On Tuesday, the count touched 4,500,” said Ajeet Chaudhary, chief medical superintendent of Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial (LLRM) Medical College.Doctors say that majorly patients of viral fever, skin diseases and fungal infection are coming during the season, due to the heavy rainfall that the city is receiving these days. On Wednesday, Meerut received 31.8 mm rainfall.“We are taking care that all patients are attended to and nobody goes without proper medical treatment,” said Dr PK Bansal, superintendent-in-chief, PL Sharma district hospital.Dr Raj Kumar Chaudhary, Meerut chief medical officer, said, “As the season is changing, the residents should take proper care so that they don’t get infected by viral fever. One should avoid getting drenched in the rain. Also, one with a cold should always take care to cover his face to avoid others from getting infected.”
