Muzaffarnagar: A 40-year-old man was booked for blackmailing and repeatedly raping his 14-year-old daughter for the past six months after administering sleeping pills to his wife every night. “My father raped me several times and threatened to kill me if I disclosed about it to anyone,” said the minor. The crime, which occurred in Budhana area of the district, came to light on Thursday morning after the girl’s mother woke up before time and caught the accused in the act. A case has been registered against the man under sections 376 (rape) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.Prabhakar Kenthura, station house officer of Budhana, said, “Our attempts are on to arrest the accused who is currently absconding.”The girl, eldest among four siblings, was brought to the hospital for medical examination.
