Upload info on textbooks distributed online, BSAs told

Meerut: The Uttar Pradesh government has asked basic shiksha adhikaris to put up details of textbooks and money that has been paid for them till date on the online portal of the education department. In this backdrop, you are instructed to provide details of the districts in which books have been distributed and the amount that was spent on them,” said Ahirwaar. The authorities have also pulled up the BSAs for delaying in giving information sought for earlier.“It should be noted that you were informed earlier that an email about the books that have been distributed and money spent on them should be sent to the state authorities regularly. This is disappointing. Despite this, many districts are yet to send the final report on the matter to the state authorities,” read the order issued by Manoj Kumar Ahirwaar, textbooks officer, UP.The few districts which have provided information so far include Ghaziabad, Hapur, Mainpuri, Aligarh, Fatehpur, Kaushambhi, Chandauli, Lucknow, Sitapur, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Maharajganj, Basti, Jhansi, Barabanki, Rampur, Kanpur (city), Farukkhabad, Auraiya and Muzaffarnagar.“Despite the fact that the book distribution has been completed in almost all the districts, no information in this regard has been communicated to the authorities.
