Soon, cabinet minister Laxmi Narain Chaudhary was quick to declare that he was not a Muslim but from the Jat community. "It is because he used to come forward to help everyone in trouble without even knowing about the issue,” he said.On Wednesday, when Sharda gave yet another identity to Lord Hanuman, he did not stop at that and said even Lord Rama was from “Vaish Samaj.”“Lord Hanuman is considered to be the son of Lord Rama which means Lord Rama was also a Vaish. We are descendants of Lord Rama and we think progressively. We are 25 crore Vaish Samaj representatives and many more abroad as well and also, we are hius true inheritors. And, hence all this politics over his caste should be put to rest.”The controversy around the antecedents of Lord Hanuman was triggered by chief minister Yogi Adityanath, who reportedly said at a rally in Rajasthan that he was a Dalit. The CM office, though, said later that he was misquoted.
