At a time when leaders of different political parties were brainstorming over possible electoral alliance for the forthcoming general election, the CBI suddenly became active. If the BJP won’t then I will not let them win UP’s 80 Lok Sabha seats. Whether the temple is built or not, it is not going to benefit us at all.” The PM brought a bill for the poor among upper castes. Cows will not study but children can.”Rajbhar added, “They are in power for the last five years, but no temple was built.

Meerut: Om Prakash Rajbhar, BJP ally and minister in the Yogi Adityanath government in UP, who is known to often speak against the government, questioned the timing of a likely CBI inquiry against former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav. In public meetings held on Wednesday in Meerut and Baghpat, Rajbhar said, “What was the CBI doing for the past two-and-a-half years despite the fact that court had already given directions to begin investigations in the mining case? At a time when leaders of different political parties were brainstorming over possible electoral alliance for the forthcoming general election, the CBI suddenly became active. This is nothing but political conspiracy. Even the Supreme Court had once called the CBI a 'caged parrot' governed by those in power.”The premiere investigating agency on Saturday carried out raids at a dozen places in UP and Delhi, including the Lucknow residence of IAS officer B Chandrakala among others in relation to an ongoing case of alleged mining graft in Hamirpur in 2012 when she was the DM there. Houses of a few SP and BSP leaders were also raided.Later the CBI registered a case against Hamirpur’s former DM, mining officer and mining clerk and eight others. There are reports that former UP CM and Samajwadi chief Akhilesh Yadav might also be questioned in the case.Rajbhar also launched a scathing attack on the NDA government over 10% reservation proposal for the poor among upper castes. “I have been telling the BJP to create a quota within the 27 percent given to SC/ST on the basis of economic status for most backward entities, but they are so full of pride that they don’t listen. The PM brought a bill for the poor among upper castes. If the BJP won’t then I will not let them win UP’s 80 Lok Sabha seats. Now it is up to the BJP.”Talking on UP government’s focus on cow protection, Rajbhar said, “There are more than 1.7 crore poor children in the state who need education. Cows will not study but children can.”Rajbhar added, “They are in power for the last five years, but no temple was built. Now when elections are approaching they suddenly remember Ayodhya temple. Don’t fall into this trap. Whether the temple is built or not, it is not going to benefit us at all.”
