NIA brings terror suspect to Amroha, conducts raids

After which, NIA and ATS team reached Amroha city’s Naubatpur mohalla and grilled three electronic shopkeepers located at Rajjak market. First time, NIA raided Amroha district on December 26 and arrested four terror-suspects, including Sohail, Raees, Saees and Irshad.In addition to this, second raid was conducted on January 2. According to the sources, Suhail had purchased some electrical things from the vendors.After questioning the vendors, the NIA team raided Hasanpur’s sarrafa market and interrogated four jewellers here. Naeem used to allegedly supply weapons to the Amroha-based outfit.It was the third raid by the NIA and ATS team here at Amroha. NIA had also arrested Mohd Naeem, from a Meerut village in this connection a couple of days ago.

Bijnor: Weeks after NIA raided Amroha and arrested four suspects of ISIS-inspired terror module that was allegedly planning to conduct major strikes in Delhi and UP, the team returned on Wednesday and also brought one of the accused and mastermind of the terror-module with it.According to police sources, the team reached here at Amroha early morning and reached Saidpur Imma village and conducted searches in the houses of Raees and Saeed who were arrested on December 26.They had brought Suhail Ahmed, the mastermind of the terror-module. The search operation was conducted here for 15 minutes. After which, NIA and ATS team reached Amroha city’s Naubatpur mohalla and grilled three electronic shopkeepers located at Rajjak market. According to the sources, Suhail had purchased some electrical things from the vendors.After questioning the vendors, the NIA team raided Hasanpur’s sarrafa market and interrogated four jewellers here. Sources told TOI that Suhail had come to the market to sell some jewelleries.The team even detained one of the owners of the shop. He was, however, released later. NIA had also arrested Mohd Naeem, from a Meerut village in this connection a couple of days ago. Naeem used to allegedly supply weapons to the Amroha-based outfit.It was the third raid by the NIA and ATS team here at Amroha. First time, NIA raided Amroha district on December 26 and arrested four terror-suspects, including Sohail, Raees, Saees and Irshad.In addition to this, second raid was conducted on January 2. That time the NIA had brought Saeed and raided his house for hours. Sources said that NIA is collecting evidence against the arrested suspected persons.Amroha’s additional superintendent of police, Brajesh Singh, confirmed the raids conducted by the NIA and ATS and said that team came here early morning. They had asked for police force from us. The investigation is on and team is still in Hasanpur.
