Two minor girls die in fire inside house in Parasoli village

Station house officer of Budhana police station Yashpal Singh said, “The fire might have been triggered by a short circuit. Seeing smoke billowing from the house, villagers rushed in and managed to douse the fire with water before firemen arrived. The cause of fire is short circuit, said police and fire officials.The family was asleep when the incident took place in Parasoli village. The two minor girls, Mynoor (2) and Sofiya (3) died, while 10-month-old Myria sustained severe burn injuries, said police.Villagers said they called up the power department and requested that the electricity supply be disconnected, but there was no response. Mynoor is his brother’s daughter. Irfan's wife, Shabnam, and their other daughter Myria sustained injuries in the incident,” Ishteyaq, a neighbour, said.After getting information of the fire, local police rushed to the spot and took the injured baby girl to hospital. Station house officer of Budhana police station Yashpal Singh said, “The fire might have been triggered by a short circuit. We are investigating the matter and action will be taken accordingly.”
