Meerut: A 30-year-old woman patient has alleged that she was gangraped by three staffers at a private hospital here on Sunday morning. The woman was undergoing treatment for a liver ailment and admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital. She claimed that she was injected with sedatives and then gangraped by three ward boys. All the three accused have been detained for questioning.However, police are not fully convinced by her tale. According to Kailash Kumar, investigation officer, Medical police station, “Investigation is on and prima facie the case seems to be a bit suspicious as the woman was in the ICU of the hospital where all beds were occupied. Nevertheless we have filed an FIR and detained three hospital staff members and evidence is being collected.”The woman belongs to Baghpat but stays in Meerut with her husband. She was admitted to hospital on March 21 for a liver infection. Her medical examination has been conducted, police added.In yet another case, a teacher has alleged that the principal of a local school where she was teaching had raped her five months ago and filmed the act. He kept blackmailing her for months together. When she got engaged to be married, he sent the rape clip to her would-be inlaws, leading to the break-up of the proposed marriage alliance.Prem Chand Sharma, station officer, Kithore police station, “The woman had approached us on Friday evening after which we filed the FIR against the accused, Aryan Kumar. As of now Kumar is absconding but we are raiding his possible hideouts.”Just two before the teacher lodged a complaint, a video of a schoolgirl’s molestation at the hands of local youths in kithore had gone viral. According to SP (rural) Avenash Pandey, “We have identified all the accused in the molestation case. Three have been arrested and the fourth one will be soon be nabbed.”
