Nagpur: Call it murderpur instead of Nagpur. The home town of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has certainly ranking high in the crime charts, and it would be better to tag Nagpur as the ‘murder’ capital instead of ‘winter’ capital of Maharashtra. The incidents of murder are marring Nagpur every fortnight. Yet another murder has baffled Nandanvan police when an identified body of a man was found dead in a field off Umred road on early Saturday morning. Sources informed that the youth aged around 35 years was found wearing blue jean and blue shirt. A deep wound was inflicted on his head. Police sources speculated that he might have been attacked with a liquor bottle. A Yamaha bike bearing number MH 36 A 9220 was also recovered from the crime spot. Senior police officials from Nandanvan police station have reached the spot and the investigation was on till the time of writing the report. More details are awaited.
