UP Election 2017: Good voter turnout compared to 2012 in Noida, 51 per cent till 5 pm

Voting took place on Saturday in the first of the staggered seven-phase assembly elections in India’s most populous state, Uttar Pradesh. Polling took place in 73 of the state’s 403 assembly constituencies, spread across 15 districts in the western part of the state. A total of 839 candidates were in the fray. In this phase, around 2.59 crore voters were eligible to exercise their franchise. According to provisional polling in Noida registered around 51 per cent of voting which is much better than 2012 where 2,09,705 (48.97) per cent turnout.

Though it`s too early make any speculations as who will win in Noida but watching the trend whole day, Pankaj Singh-led BJP has a good chance of winning in Noida but one will have to wait February 11 when the results will be announced.
