Nepal’s border guarding force killed one Indian civilian and injured three others in Sitamrhi Bihar on Friday. The incident occurred at 8.40 am. The reason for the firing is being investigated. A meeting of border force officials of the two countries to take place soon, sources told The Indian Express. A person was killed and two others injured in firing in Bihar’s Sitamarhi near the India-Nepal border on Friday.

As per locals, shots were fired from the Nepali side of the border. The incident took place at Mohoba village in Lalbandi area under Sonbarsa police station area. “One dead, two injured in firing in Sitamarhi near India-Nepal border. I have informed the state government about this incident. The district administration is taking action. We are monitoring everything,” Sashastra Seema Bal IG of Bihar sector told news agency ANI.

The injured have been taken for treatment. According to the SP, the Nepal police have claimed that they opened fire after a tried to snatch their weapons. Locals, however, said the Nepal police opened fired during an argument on crossing the border.
