Puducherry assembly to be reconvened in first week of July

The Legislative Assembly is likely to be reconvened on the first week of July for the presentation of the budget for fiscal 2018-19. “The House is likely to be re-convened on July 2 after a group of Ministers and legislators return from a trip abroad,” a source said. The House was adjourned sine die on June 5 amid uncertainty over approval from the Union Home Ministry for the annual budget. Nod for budgetWith the MHA giving its nod for the budget, the Finance Department had started preparation for presenting the budget early next month, said a government source.
