‘Enforce UPSC norms in recruitment’

The VCK State committee demanded that the government provide 25% reservation for poor children in private schools as per the RTE Act. “There are nearly 700 eligible candidates having Ph.D/NET/SLET qualifications. Of the 94 candidates selected through counselling for the 159 posts in seven colleges, only four are from Puducherry. Hence, the government has to ensure that eligible candidates from Puducherry are selected,” said Deva Pozhilan, Principal Secretary, VCK, in a press release. They urged the government to take steps to ensure procedures are followed in Centac to avoid confusion during counselling.

more-in Viduthalai Chiruthai Katchi (VCK) in its State committee meeting held on June 24 urged the Puducherry government to abide by the rules and regulations laid down by the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) and ensure employment to candidates from Puducherry. “There are nearly 700 eligible candidates having Ph.D/NET/SLET qualifications.
