Medical campus transformed

PIMS was a campus transformed during the recently-concluded Aura-17 campus festival. Adaptunes and duet dance contests unfolded in packed high-decibel halls. Variety Show, solo dance, mehendi, haiku, group song/dance, rangoli, pot painting, block and tackle, pictionary, movie dub, wealth out of waste and short film screenings were among the highlights. Patrician College, Chennai won both adaptunes and duet dance. Competitions were also held in athletics, basketball, volleyball, football, tennis, table tennis, futsal and chess.

more-in PIMS was a campus transformed during the recently-concluded Aura-17 campus festival. The fest showcased some stunning talent from medicos from institutions all over the region. The event was also open to students from engineering colleges. Above 40 colleges sent their teams for AURA’17. Jeyasree Ravi, founder of Sri Palam Silk Sarees, was chief guest at the launch of the culturals. Ms. Ravi, along with the Director Principal – Dr. Renu G’Boy Varghese unvelied the AURA 2017 t-shirt, following which nursing and medical students put on a couple of spectacular dance performances. Variety Show, solo dance, mehendi, haiku, group song/dance, rangoli, pot painting, block and tackle, pictionary, movie dub, wealth out of waste and short film screenings were among the highlights. Anna University and Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore won the Indian and western dances respectively. Group music was bagged by Vel Tech Engineering College, Chennai. Adaptunes and duet dance contests unfolded in packed high-decibel halls. Patrician College, Chennai won both adaptunes and duet dance. Battle of the Bands featured some interesting campus musicians while Day 3 saw contestants engage in a host of events such as t-shirt designing, face painting, channel surfing, dumb charades, solo singing, duet singing, collage making and photography. The third day also saw Adzap, shipwreck, Star of Aura and fashion show. Adzap was won by Vinayaka Mission Medical College here. Competitions were also held in athletics, basketball, volleyball, football, tennis, table tennis, futsal and chess. Another high point was a laugh-a-minute session by stand-up comedy sensation Aravind SA. The curtain was drawn on Aura '17 with music by DJs Navz and Deepika.
