A two-day State committee meeting of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has adopted a resolution demanding the recall of Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi. The meeting, which began on Saturday, requested the Union government to recall Ms. Bedi as she “stood like a stumbling block” to the implementation of welfare measures. The Puducherry unit secretary of the CPI (M), Rajangam, presented before the committee the works carried out by the local unit in the last three years. The party’s Central committee members K.
