School hosts children’s film festival

Aklavya International School, in association with LXL Ideas organised the International Kids Film Festival of India (IKFFI) as part of the Children’s Day week from November 14 to 19 recently. More than 5,000 students participated in the film festival. With the aim to reach one million students across the country, LXL Ideas has partnered with The French Embassy, Culture House of Iran and The Children’s Film Festival Seattle to organise IKFFI online and on ground platforms. IKFFI has also planned to organise a students’ film-making competition under the banner ‘Make Cinema’ to encourage young talent. Cinema is a powerful medium through which values could be built in students and adults,” he said.

Arawindan, Managing Director and Chief Mentor of Achariya Group of World Class Institutions, “In this global era, our students need to be exposed to quality cinema and LXL Ideas are known to bring the best of school cinema to students.We did not want to restrict the festival to our students and hence invited private and government schools. Cinema is a powerful medium through which values could be built in students and adults,” he said. More than 5,000 students participated in the film festival. IKFFI has also planned to organise a students’ film-making competition under the banner ‘Make Cinema’ to encourage young talent.
