4 cases filed for pasting Israeli flag to protest

Pune: The police registered four cases against several people on the charge of wantonly provocation with the intent to cause a riot by pasting pictures of Israeli flags in Camp, Bhawani Peth, Nana Peth and Kondhwa on Friday.Complaints were registered with Kondhwa Samarth, Khadak and Cantonment police stations on Saturday.In two cases, the police identified the suspects, who pasted the pictures as a mark of protest against Israels ground action in Gaza. We have identified seven suspects who pasted the stickers in Camp and issued notices asking them to cooperate with the investigation, deputy commissioner of police (zone II), Smartana Patil said.Sandeep Singh Gill, DCP (zone I), said some people were walking on stickers which had the Israeli flag.
