Pune: State industries minister Uday Samant on Saturday raked up the Sachin Vaze case to target Shiv Sena (UBT).Over the past year, any businessman we have met has told us that it is risky to carry out business in the state where a renowned business tycoon like Mukesh Ambani is threatened by planting explosives near his residence, the minister said while speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday.Samants remarks are being seen as a response to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackerays comments that alleged that the diamond business was moving out of Mumbai to Gujarat due to the inefficiency of the state government. The president of the diamond hub has denied the claim. The Shiv Sena (UBT) is deliberately spreading negativity by making such false statements, Samant said.He also slammed the Sena (UBT) over the Vaze case saying it is the same party which had recommended the dismissed officers reinstatement into the police force. They (MVA government) brought Vaze back into the force and gave him the jurisdiction where Ambani resides. With the help of these people, Vaze planted a vehicle filled with explosives near Ambanis house. On one hand, they help officers like Vaze to threaten Ambani and on the other hand they are pretending to be with the businessmen community, the minister said. Vaze was arrested in 2021 for allegedly parking an explosive-laden vehicle near Ambanis residence. Later the case was transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The then opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis had targeted the MVA government over the issue. We also published the following articles recentlyShiv Sena (UBT) launches teaser for Dussehra rally, takes dig at Shinde SenaThe Shiv Sena (UBT) has released a teaser for its annual Dussehra rally, taking a dig at the Shiv Sena-led by CM Ekanth Shinde.
