Three teens damage 29 vehicles in Lohegaon

Pune: Three teens went on a rampage in the Kalwad Wasti area of Lohegaon around 2.30am on Monday and damaged 29 vehicles, mostly cars and four-wheel tempos, parked on the road.The Airport police arrested one of them and detained his two 16-year-old accomplices. We have arrested Hashim Shaikh (18), of Kalwad Wasti and detained two minor boys. All are school dropouts and unemployed, senior inspector Anand Khobare of Airport police said.Preliminary questioning revealed that they damaged the vehicles for fun, he said. The gang members confessed to identifying specific make and colour vehicles and selling them based on demand in the northeastern states.
