Banker says 4 force him to undress, film act & rob ₹60,000

Pune: A private bank sales manager (33) on Thursday lodged a police complaint accusing four men from his village in Ahmednagar of forcing him to undress, before filming him and robbing Rs60,000 in a flat at a housing society in Yerawada on July 13.He also accused one of them of posting the video clip on a WhatsApp group on July 14. The police registered the FIR after he moved the Pune Police Complaints Authority alleging denial of registration of his complaint. The Complaints Authority recently told us to file our written response on his complaint. We registered a case under relevant sections of IPC and the IT Act, senior inspector Balkrushna Kadam of the Yerawada police told TOI.The complainant said he haD been working in Pune since 2008 and two men from his village started working in the city from 2011. He lived with them in the flat for some days before moving to his current residence in Shantinagar. On the night of July 13, the two men called him to their flat, claiming his elder brother had arrived. On reaching the flat, the two men and another two committed the crime, the FIR stated.Kadam said, On November 4, the complainant registered another case against the four men with the Bund Garden police, accusing them of robbing him of Rs2.5 lakh at gun-point in front of an eatery near Sadhu Vaswani Chowk on September 7 and forcing him to make a Rs21,600 UPI transfer. A police officer said, The four men said they had paid varied amounts to the complainant, who assured them help to secure loans. He, however, failed to deliver on his promise.The bank employee told TOI, After the incident at the Yerawada flat, I did not approach the police as the four men had assured me that they would return the money they had robbed. Bund Garden police inspector (Crime) Prashant Bhasme said, The complainant has not cooperated with us in showing the September 7 robbery spot. Police are investigating the origin of the arms and will seek further custody of Singh. Singh confessed to killing Berger over monetary disputes related to rituals and occult practices. The police are verifying whether Berger approached banks for large cash withdrawals.
