Pune: The state is bracing for a bout of dry weather as the influence of a low-pressure area wanes, in a significant shift in weather dynamics. The subsequent reduction in rain activity is expected to pave the way for the dominance of dry air, causing cooler night temps from Sunday. According to Anupam Kashyapi, the head of the weather forecasting division at IMD, Pune, the southeasterly winds over Maharashtra had weakened and the relative humidity (RH) levels were anticipated to decrease sharply.Starting from November 12, we anticipateclear skies, and night temperatures are expected to fall, said Kashyapi. The minimum temperatures in Pune, particularly in Shivajinagar, are projected to drop to around 17°C, reflecting a noticeable dip from the current temperature of approximately 19°C in the area.Abhijit Modak, an independent weather forecaster, shedding light on the evolving meteorological conditions said, The low pressure originating from the Arabian Sea has dissipated. Consequently, the moist south-easterlies will be replaced by climatological pressure induced dry air.As a result of this transition, drop in night temperatures has been forecast.
