Pune: The Pimpri Chinchwad police registered a first information report against an unknown man for killing a stray dog with his car on Tathawade Road in Hinjewadi.A 21-year-old law student from Chinchwad feeds stray dogs in the area. She lodged a complaint with the police about the incident that took place on Monday.The incident took place at around 9am.The complainant and her friend reached the accident spot after hearing about it. They took the dog to the government veterinary polyclinic in Aundh. The Powai police, along with the Bomb Disposal and Detection Squad (BDDS) and their sniffer dog, successfully rescued him. The police formed multiple teams, led by DCP Datta Nalawade, to search for the missing child. Leo, the Doberman, played a crucial role in tracking down the child. Despite facing challenges from stray dogs, Leo located the boy within 90 minutes. The child, who had a speech impediment, was reunited with his parents.
