MBA student dies, pillion rider in hosp

Pune: First-year MBA student Atharva Patole (20) died while his classmate Rohit Pagare (19), sustained serious injuries after their motorcycle crashed into a road divider on the Pune-Solapur highway around 2 p.m. on Friday.Sub-inspector Kiran Dhaygude of Loni Kalbhor police told TOI, The two students study at a college in Loni and stay in a hostel room situated inside the college premises.On Friday afternoon, they left their college premises on the motorcycle.While traveling towards Solapur on the highway, Patole lost control over the motorcycle, crashed into the road divider. The passersby took them to a private hospital located nearby, Dhaygude said.Patole was declared dead on arrival by the doctors. Pagare has sustained serious injuries on his head, shoulders, and back.
