Over 47L youth voters to exercise franchise in three-phased LS polls in Chhattisgarh

There are a total of 47,11,890 youths in Chhattisgarh eligible to exercise their franchise for the Lok Sabha elections, an official communiqué said on Sunday. Chief Electoral Officer Reena Babasaheb Kangale gave the details in Raipur. The total number of voters in the state has risen by 1,20,092 to 2,05,13,252, compared to 2,03,93,160 in the 2023 Assembly elections. Of these, 1,03,32,115 are women voters and 1,01,80,405 men while 732 belong to the third gender. There are 82,476 voters over the age of 85 and 2,855 over the age of 100. Chhattisgarh will see elections in three phases on April 19 and 26, and May 7, and the results will be announced nationally on June 4. There are 24,229 polling centres in Chhattisgarh. The projected population is 3.07 crore.
