Tiger’s image captured in PTR after 10 months

The last time a tiger’s image was captures was in April 2018. Daltonganj: After 10 months , an image of a tiger was captured in a camera at Palamu Tiger Reserve (PTR)’s Chhipadohar East on Sunday night, sources said. The development come soon after are wildlife activists raised concerns over PTR management.At PTR, three of eight posts of rangers are lying vacant. Since then there has no evidence — scat, urine, pugmarks, kill, scratches on barks of trees — to indicate a big cat’s presence in PTR. Confirming the development, PTR field director Mohan Lal said: “This is a very good news for us as we were concerned over the conspicuous absence of tigers here.” Lal said the location where the feline was present is 15km from Betla National Park.
