Considering the loss and the drawbacks of complete lockdown, the Jharkhand Government had initially imposed a partial lockdown but it seems to hold no weight and rather was blown openly. People after two o’clock swiped into hotels, bars, drinking liquors, etc. Despite several warnings from the administration people are seen roaming unnecessarily on streets with zero percent of physical distancing.

Jharkhand Government has started considering impose a complete lockdown in the state. CM Hemant Soren is holding discussions with public representatives of the state in this regard. The partial lockdown expires on May 13 at 6 am.

Shops open despite the ban

The city remains a mockery of partial lockdown. Despite the orders and warnings of Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Surendra Kumar, restricted shops are opening and business is being conducted unabashedly. In such a situation, there is a risk of increasing infection once again. Talking about the markets of the city, the old market, Hirapur, Steel Gate, Baekarbandh, and many such shops were found open in Bartand, which are banned. Talking about Bertand, other shops are opening in Bertand, including Bihli, Cosmetic, Tailor, Mirror, Mobile Phone, Shringar, General Store. Buyers are also coming to these shops. The situation is that the fear of police and administrative officials is neither among the people nor among the shopkeepers.
