BJP workers leave for Delhi with ‘Amrit Kalash’

Ranchi: Over 600 BJP workers from across the state left for New Delhi by a special train from the Ranchi railway station on Sunday evening, carrying Amrit Kalash and the national flags as part of the nationwide drive by the saffron camp to build Amrit Vatika in the national capital.Union tribal affairs minister Arjun Munda and state party president Babulal Marandi among other senior leaders flagged off the train booked by the party for ferrying its workers to Delhi.More workers will board the train en route as it will traverse through Jharkhand. On October 31, all party workers from the country will congregate in Delhi where they will deposit the kalash carrying soil and rice collected from the native places of freedom fighters, martyrs and other hamlets across the state for the creation of the Amrit Vatika as part of the partys Meri Mati, Mera Desh programme.We also published the following articles recentlyTrain carrying Amrit Kalash pots leaves Thiruvananthapuram for DelhiA group of 229 youth volunteers from Kerala, organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, embarked on a special train journey from Thiruvananthapuram Central to Delhi as a part of the "Meri Maati Mera Desh" campaign. The train carries Amrit Kalash pots filled with sacred soil from different parts of Kerala. The volunteers will be joined by others from various stations along the way. The travel arrangements were made by Nehru Yuva Kendra to ensure the participation of students from all districts of Kerala.State sends urns of soil for Amrit KalashGoa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant handed over soil from villages across the state to volunteers of the Nehru Yuva Kendra as part of the Meri Mati, Mera Desh campaign. The soil will be transported to Delhi and used in the Amrit Vatika near the National War Memorial. Sawant also announced that Goa will celebrate National Unity Day on October 31 to mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patels birth anniversary. Various programs, including a Run for Unity, will be organized across the state on that day. Schools and village panchayats will be directed to participate in the event.Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign: Team of Amrit Kalash Yatra from Uttarakhand reaches DelhiThe Amrit Kalash Yatra team from Uttarakhand arrived in Delhi as part of the "Meri Maati Mera Desh" campaign. The yatra aims to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters by taking soil from their birthplaces to the National Martyrs Memorial in Delhi. Under the campaign, Amrit Vatika will be created near the National War Memorial using soil and plants from 7,500 urns across the country. The campaigns final event, which will mark the culmination of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31.
