Those crying corruption in state are like termites: CM

Daltonganj: Chief minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday distributed offer letters to 5,132 youths at a programme in Daltonganj police lines. During the programme, he gave away token letters to around a dozen youths, the rest will be intimated through local administration. The job aspirants were mainly from three districts — Garhwa, Latehar and Palamu. The programme was attended by cabinet ministers Alamgir Alam and Satyanand Bhokta along with the secretary to the CM, Vinay Choubey, and labour secretary Rajesh Kumar.Soren, during his 22-minute speech, lashed out at the Centre and key opposition party — BJP.He said, Those who are roaming around with bhopoon (loudspeakers) in the state crying corruption are the deemak (termites) who have eaten into the vitals of the state for 20 long years. He added, Those who blame me, my officers and trumpet about corruption are like khisyani billi (frustrated cat). They are just ignored by the masses in the state.Attacking the Centre for withholding funds for the PM Awas Yojna, the chief minister said, The Centre is not even worth bargad (banyan) tree. This tree grows and grows but it takes the help of the twigs around it. Here, this central government has adopted a step-motherly attitude. It has blocked the funds meant for our state.Soren said climate is an enigma now. It rains in winter. Rainy seasons go dry. Summer sees rain. So, we will prepare our farmers to take on the vagaries of nature with innovative farming.On opposition leaders, he said, We are first of all isolating the conspirators to the state. Now, wait before I get such conspirators out of the state.His cabinet colleague, Alamgir Alam, hitting out at BJP national president JP Nadda, who was in Ranchi two days ago, said, The BJP chief said very recently in Ranchi that we are not taking funds from the Centre for the housing scheme. Its a white lie. Its the Centre that has withheld funds for Jharkhand.The CM drew applause for his announcement of 75% reservation of jobs for locals in the private sector operating in Jharkhand. Political analysts said Sorens speech in Daltonganj on Tuesday was a kind of rebuttal to the rhetoric of state BJP president Babulal Marandis Sankalp Yatra. As election to the Lok Sabha is just a few months away, the CM wooed voters saying, My government is offering them playgrounds close to where they live to play and excel in sports.
