Security is well up in Palamu. Small contingents of police are conducting flag marches across the police station limits in Palamu. On Saturday Paton police station limits saw a flag march of the security forces. Four companies of additional forces have arrived in the Palamu police zone comprising 3 districts Latehar, Garhwa and Palamu in the wake of the Ram Lalla Pran Prathishta at Ayodhya on January 22. IG of police Palamu zone R K Lakra said one company of additional forces each has been sent to Latehar and Garhwa districts. Palamu has 2 companies of the additional forces said the IG. There are reserve forces at the disposal of the SPs of the three districts besides IG of police Palamu zone here which is ready to be used in any expediency. IG added "There is an all round alert and vigil. Dubious elements are under watch." Reminded that there is one assembly constituency here in Palamu where in its different pockets of human habitat radicalisation is intense and hate speech is no forbidden thing IG said, "We are quite watchful everywhere and no one will be any free to cause any disturbance as it will be met with strongest of the measures." Police sources said vigil is up in Haidernagar police station limits where families are still in trauma over mob lynching episode with the youths of this place in Bihar very recently. IG Lakra said "Haidernagar is being monitored by the police." The Office of the SP Palamu has issued a pointer asking one and all to maintain harmony, peace and law and order and refrain from any aberration that will invite legal action. It has reminded that the technical cell of the police is monitoring social media very closely and hence caution is the word of the social media users. FB writings are under scrutiny. DC Shashi Ranjan has directed his entire fleet of block level and sub divisional level officials to keep vigilant and alert and to ensure nothing untoward occurs. This correspondent spoke to a cross section of people drawn from both the communities whose refrain was "Its a great and historic event. Nothing more to add to it." Majority of people of both the communities looked distant from the euphoria. They talk more about fog, mist and chill than this event.
