Bus drivers and security personnel equipped to save lives

Jamshepur: Manipal Tata Medical College launches a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering bus drivers, security personnel, and support staff to become lifesavers. The Life Saver Training Programme provided essential medical treatment and life-saving training to participants.   The programme, held at the colleges mechanical lab, witnessed the participation of key figures including Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Dean of the Mechanical Lab, Dr. Ayan Pati from the Anesthesia Department, and Dr. Shyamal Maiti, Head of the Department. Dr. Anjaneyulu Kanauri led the workshop as the primary trainer, supported by Dr. Abhishek Kumar, Dr. Soni Narayan, Dr. Swat Shikha, and Dr. Jayati Batanaik.   Thirty-two individuals received comprehensive basic life support training during the workshop. The primary objective of the initiative is to empower ordinary citizens to act as first responders in emergencies, particularly targeting bus drivers, security personnel, and other community members in the Jamshepur area.   "Common people can become lifesavers in critical situations," stated a representative from Manipal Tata Medical College. "By equipping bus drivers and security personnel with life-saving skills, we aim to mitigate risks and save lives in our community."   The Life Saver Training Program underscores Manipal Tata Medical Colleges commitment to enhancing public safety and healthcare accessibility in the Jamshepur region. Moving forward, the initiative plans to expand its reach to include additional groups through partnerships with Life Saver Training Organizations.
