CSIR-NML concludes valedictory function for Pi-Check Programme

The CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur, marked the culmination of its esteemed Phenome India: CSIR Health Cohort Knowledge Base (PI-CHeCK) study program on March 18, 2024. Spanning seven days from March 12th to March 18th, 2024, the program aimed at capturing longitudinal molecular, biochemical, and organ scanning data. It was devised to develop targeted diagnostic and prognostic technologies through the integration of this data with state-of-the-art AI/ML models, thereby advancing Precision Medicine both in India and globally. Dr. Ansu J Kailath, Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR-NML, served as the Coordinator of this groundbreaking project. Alongside her, a dedicated team comprising Dr. Priyanka Singh, Dr. Krishna Kumar, Mr. Kogapu Sudhakara Rao, Dr. Navneet Singh Randhawa, and Mr. Roshan Kumar, contributed their expertise throughout the program. They not only shared their invaluable experiences but also outlined the future trajectory of CSIR-NMLs endeavors for the next season of the PI-CHeCK Program. Over the course of the campaign, more than 325 participants, comprising CSIR-NML employees, pensioners, and their spouses, actively engaged in this significant national project. The valedictory function, held at the NML residential colony in Agrico, Jamshedpur, served as a fitting conclusion to the program. Dr. Sandip Ghosh Chowdhury, Director of CSIR-NML, graced the valedictory session along with other esteemed dignitaries. In his address, Dr. Chowdhury reiterated the scope and purpose of the campaign, underlining its critical importance in advancing medical research and healthcare practices. He extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire team and volunteers whose dedication and efforts contributed significantly to the success of this extensive campaign. The valedictory function not only celebrated the accomplishments of the PI-CHeCK Program but also served as a platform to acknowledge the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders involved. It underscored CSIR-NMLs commitment to pioneering research initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare outcomes and driving scientific innovation.
