DC Bokaro  emphasizes seriousness in training for sector officers

A training session was conducted for sector officers regarding the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 at the auditorium of Bokaro Ispat Senior Secondary School located in Sector 2-C of B.S. City. The District Election Officer (DEO) and  Deputy Commissioner (DC) Vijaya Jadhav assessed the training session. Present at the occasion were  Sourav Kumar Bhuvaniya, Nodal Officer of the Training Cell,  Jagarnath Lohra, Nodal Officer, and  Avinash Kumar, Media Coordinator  among others.   Notably Sector officers were being trained on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) in various classrooms of the school. They were provided detailed information on the Control Unit (CU), Ballot Unit (BU), connecting and operating VVPAT, mock polling, paper sealing, etc. The DEO and DC, along with other team members, evaluated the training session.     DC Jadhav stated that  all must read the manuals available for sector officers by the Election Commission of India thoroughly. There is no room for any kind of mistake or deviation from the manual. Notably all were briefed extensively on their duties and responsibilities during the election process.    Additional Collector,  Mumtaz Ansari said that any oversight or insufficient knowledge regarding the tasks performed by one can affect the voting process. Therefore, all  should undergo training with utmost seriousness. If there are any questions or doubts, clarify them with the trainers immediately.   During the event distribution and receipt of Form 12 for postal voting among appointed sector officers were conducted.  Vandana Shejwalkar, Nodal Officer of Postal Ballots  provided detailed information on this matter. All sector officers appointed for various assembly constituencies were also present during the session.
