  • | Friday | 26th April, 2024

For the first time in Jamshedpur, CII Young Indians (Yi) is organising a groundbreaking training session - Ambassadors for Change, aimed at empowering individuals, teachers, and professionals to effectively detect and respond to instances of child abuse. The primary objective of this session is to equip key stakeholders, particularly teachers, with the necessary knowledge and skills to address the issue of child sexual abuse effectively. Through this training, educators will be better prepared to deliver age-appropriate information to students and provide crucial support to those who may have faced unsafe situations. Rashmi Kauntia, Chair Masoom, Yi Jamshedpur informed that the training will be facilitated by ARPAN a Mumbai-based non-profit recognized globally for its work in eliminating Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) in India. With a team of over 140 dedicated professionals, it is Indias largest non-profit providing CSA Prevention and Intervention services for both children and adults. Arpan has received numerous national and international awards for its exemplary work. The Ambassadors for Change training session is scheduled for April 27th, 2024 (Saturday), starting at 9:00 AM. The session will run for 8 hours (with lunch break) and will be held at the CFE Auditorium. Mode of communication will be a mix of English and Hindi. Certificates will be awarded to all participants who attend the entire training session. The training will cultivate a cadre of trained individuals in every organization and institution who can effectively address child sexual abuse. It will empower participants to lead Personal Safety Education (PSE) programs for children and conduct adult awareness sessions; and will provide participants with fundamental knowledge, attitude, and skills to prevent and respond effectively to child sexual abuse (CSA). Participating in this training, teachers will not only gain valuable insights but also contribute to creating a safer learning environment for the children. Interested candidates can contact Yi on 9167849394 (Debasmita Guha) or 9570004343 (Rashmi Kauntia) for any further details regarding the training session.
