Bhiwandi man awarded life imprisonment in abduction, ransom case

Both the sentences to run concurrently the judge ordered.Four persons were abducted and the accused deamanded Rs 15000 for them for release but the cops rescued the four and accused was arrested and convicted. THANE: A Bhiwandi-based man was found guilty on the charges of kidnapping three powerloom workers for a ransom of Rs 15000, convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for life by the district court here.Thane District Judge AS Bhaisare handed the conviction to the accused Javed Ansari , after finding him guilty under section 364(A) of the IPC and also fined him Rs 1,000.The accused was also found guilty on the charges punshable under section 386 of the IPC and awarded another five years if RI and a fine of Rs 500.
