Brick kiln worker gets 10-year RI

The Fast Track Mahila Court on Thursday awarded 10-year rigorous imprisonment to a brick kiln worker for sexually assaulting a minor girl. She was also staying in the brick kiln along with her parents. According to the prosecution, K. Tamilarasan (22) of Mambazhapattu in Villupuram district, who was working in a brick-kiln in Mela Lakshmanapatti near Uppidamangalam, sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl of Pilrampattu in Villupuram district on December 27, 2015 in a secluded place. M. Gunasekeran, Sessions Judge, who found the accused guilty, sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment each on two counts of abduction and sexual assault. The judge also imposed a fine of ?1000.
