UP: Two teenagers drown in Ganga in Mirzapur

VARANASI: Two teenage boys drowned in Ganga river while taking bath at Bhogao Ghat in Chilh area of Mirzapur district earlty on Monday morning. After a toil of several hours their bodies could be fished out in the afternoon. The bodies were fished out by local boatmen. The police sent the bodies for post-mortem.According to reports, five boys namely Himanshu Pandey (15), Sheru alias Jeetlal (12), Saurabh Upadhyaya (15), Nadey (14), and Ishu (14), all residents of Goridih village in Aurai area of Bhadohi district, had gone to Bhogaon ghat. While taking bath they slipped into deep waters and started drowning in the river.The local residents and some boatmen present at the spot managed saved three of them, but Himanshu and Sheru drowned in the river.The police as well as the family members of the boys reached the ghat after getting information and started rescue operation.
